Doug Klegon is vice president of association and content strategy for .orgCommunity. Doug draws upon 25+ years of extensive marketing and communication experiences to assist organizations in strategy development, brand positioning and integrated marketing, as well as website development and e-communications. Doug also serves as managing director, customer experience and marketing, at .orgSource.


Doug Details:

  • Assists .orgSource customers with marketing plans for system launches, customer research, strategic planning initiatives and much more.

  • Prior experience includes leading marketing and communications for Henry Ford Health System and the Detroit Medical Center plus the American College of Healthcare Executives. In all his projects Doug demonstrates a strong focus on understanding, developing and synthesizing marketing/communication strategies and then translating those strategies into concrete tactics.

  • Board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

  • Maintains an active role with the Association Forum of Chicagoland, both as a volunteer and an author for FORUM magazine.

  • Serves on the board of Heartland Health Centers, a multi-site federally qualified health center serving Chicago's north side.

Heather Swink, CAE, M.A., is vice president of communications and marketing for .orgCommunty, creating resources, information and communications for nonprofit executives and other members of .orgCommunity that aren’t just useful, but also interesting and quick to read. Heather is a results-oriented and award-winning communicator and marketer, serving associations and nonprofit for 15 years. Heather also serves as content and marketing strategist for .orgSource. Prior to joining .orgCommunity and .orgSource in 2015, Heather was a senior leader at Association Forum of Chicagoland for nearly a decade—most recently serving as executive editor for its flagship publication, FORUM magazine.


Swink Stats:

  • Develops high-quality, high-value messages for print and digital communications and provides a variety of web communications solutions—inclusive of writing and editing for the web, executing website content reviews and migrating content to new or redesigned websites—for .orgSource clients. 

  • Recently completed two terms on the Association Media & Publishing Board of Directors.

  • Named a 2011 Association Trends Young & Aspiring Association Professional in recognition of her work producing innovative editorial products, cutting production costs, streamlining workflows and providing top-notch customer service.

  • Earned the Certified Association Executive credential from ASAE in 2008.

  • Association experience includes staff roles at trade and professional membership associations—the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, International Association of Lighting Designers, and Association Forum of Chicagoland. At Association Forum, Heather led editorial and business operations for FORUM magazine, as well as advertising sales for all Association Forum products. She won numerous awards for her writing, editing and comprehensive redesign of the magazine in 2013.
